Dear team,

here are a couple of important messages for you.

1. there will be no CCA until further notice, MOE is informing schools on a weekly basis as to whether CCA or assemblys can resume

2. In light of the suspension of CCA, H1N1 situation and the conducting of the N and O level oral examinations, the projection room is out of bounds to all members. Instructions have been given to the General Office. No one is allowed to draw the key unless either myself or Ms Annabel calls the office to give permission or unless you take the key from us directly.

3. There has been no postponement or cancellation of any of the activities in this semester. Hence, National Day, Teachers' Day and ICT will carry on until further notice. Planning will still continue even if there are no/very few rehearsals. In light of this, please note that all activities are kept to the bare minimum with basic requirements. However, please keep in mind that the possibility of last minute cancellation of these events is still there. Nevertheless, Life still goes on. i will update you as and when i get more information.

4. At this moment of time, the decision has been made that CF will be combined with Arts fest on 20 Oct. Promotion and planning will still carry on but via non-contact activities. Hence auditions will be kept to set timings and in small groups. Since we are merging it with CF, the focus of the performances will therefore be on the Sec 2s, meaning that priority will be given to guitar, flag twirling, jazz fusion and percussion beat groups that pass the audition. Quality is still a priority so they MUST pass the auditions no matter what. Folk Dance competition for Sec 1s will continue. Guan Yeow's group may be the only alumni performing. i have asked the poly alumni to perform for teachers' day instead, due to a conflict in schedules. A scaled down fashion parade will also be included. There is no confirmation of the timing but we are gunning for a 2 1/2 - 3h show. The Arts fest will be in the hall during curriculum time. There are unfortunately no friday nights that are suitable or available for us.

5. Morning assembly fine system has begun. All fines will be collected by Wan Yi (odd weeks) and Jamie (even weeks). A book will be provided by the side of the sound system to record your attendance and fines collected. All fines will go into the camp fund for end of the year camp.

Stay Healthy. The important thing now is for you to focus on ur studies because once the events start, things will get crazy and you may not have the time nor the frame of mind to catch up, so you need to be ready for both your studies and your Technical duties!

Starting from next week, even week of Tuesday, the fining for morning assembly will start!
Even weeks will be Jamie in charge, odd weeks will be me.
The fining will be applied when you commit the following without a valid excuse.

1. Late (arriving after 7.10am, even by a minute.)
You will be charged a dollar, making payment to the in charge.

2. Not coming at all
You will be charged two dollar, making payment to the in charge.
